Methods - The second step - general information

At the end of the Co-ordinators education and in co-operation with Trygghetsrådet, Arbetsförmedlingen, Landstinget, Jönköpings kommun och Försäkringskassan, there were meetings with groups of women, who were presumptive participants. The Co-ordinators had an important role in these meetings.

Women with interest in the project were then invited to individual interviews mapping there present competence level, future plans and commitment. Those who had a strong commitment and were suitable for the different groups were accepted and contracted.

Women from outside Scandinavia should have skills in the Swedish language corresponding to level D. This made it easier for them to assimilate knowledge since education will be in Swedish. Language tests preceded acceptance.

We wanted to examine how much we would gain later by being particular in recruiting with emphasis to commitment. This also created a better fundament for future planning and evaluation.
