Co-ordinators

The work in the Empowerment groups began by educating a group of future co-ordinators - 10 women. Each of them is the leader of a group of women unemployed or risking unemployment. We call the groups Empowerment groups - K-groups.

The task for the co-ordinators is:

• create a secure atmosphere in the group,
• teach the group members to let everybody have her say,
• encourage seeking of solutions and catching opportunities,
• train the ability in communicating, listening, taking/giving criticism, feedback, accepting feelings, even strong feelings,
• respect individual and common needs,
• if needed call professional assistance,
• participate in the evaluation of the method.

In these groups the participants have opportunities to education on different levels as follows:

• The "scientific" level; facts and figures.
• The emotional level; feelings - opinions.
• The competent level; the values behind my reactions.
• The desiring level; determination based on opinions and observations.

On the emotional level the required energy for action is generated.
