Co-ordinator course

During the project, the roll of the co-ordinators was developed into a new profession - the co-ordinator's, useful in various situations in the working life. Therefore, a new 20 points course is planned at the School of Education & Communication - HLK - Jönköping University, Sweden, to meet the demand for co-ordinators. 

The course is planned to start in the autumn 2000. 

Aim The students to develope
  • an ability to co-ordinate activities of different groups
  • an ability to use their own experience and knowledge 
  • knowledge about leadership and communication
Contents: The course is divided in four sub-courses of 5 points each, with separate exams. 

Leadership, group co-operation, 5 points

  • Leadership

  • Teambuilding

  • Field studies

Communication and conflict handling, 5 points

  • Different models and theories

  • Mental training

Pedagogical training, 5 points

  • Discussion methodology

  • Work in changes

  • Theories about learning

Project leadership, documentation and presentation technique

  • Project leadership

  • Documentation

  • Information search via libraries

  • Evaluation

How the course is organized

The course is controlled by the participants, and is composed of group studies, lectures, seminars, information search via libraries, group training.

It will be adapted for distance learning as well.
