TEACHING SEMINAR

During Year 2000 a teaching seminar in Acupuncture/Homoeopuncture will be organized in southern Sweden. The subject for the seminar will be 'How to treat Allergies, Asthma and Eczema'.

Main speaker at the seminar will be 'The world´s most ecperienced acupuncture teacher', Lord Pandit Professor Dr. Sir Anton Jayasuriya, Chief Rheumatologist and Chief Acupuncturist at Colombo South Government General University Teaching Hospital, Kalubowila, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Professor Jayasuriya has practised for more than 40 years and has obtained post-graduate qualifications at The Royal London Hospital, Guys Hospital, U.K., and at hospitals in U.S.A., Canada, Beijing and Shanghai.

As a Rheumatologist at the Mayo clinic in the early 70's he became interested in Acupuncture and began to explore its mechanisms and applications. He attended the first Acupuncture training course in Beijing for foreign doctors.

During the 70's he established a free acupuncture clinic at the Kalubowila hospital, Colombo, to treat his countries poor. Professor Jayasuriya's vast practical and teaching skills stem from this free clinic wich now sees over 500 patients per day and is a regular training venue for physicians from around the world.

He has taught over 40,000 students and has authored 35 textbooks about acupuncture, homoeopathy, and other alternative disciplines, among them the best selling 'CLINICAL ACUPUNCTURE' which has sold in more than 2.5 million copies. Professor Jayasuriya has treated over 2 million patients worldwide during the years and has never charged a fee from any patient.
