Defender Sira beta version

This game could be summed up in about two words COOL and WOW, It´s the kind of platformer that would make you stick around if the beta had more than one level. Though that can hardly be used as critisicm as this IS the beta.... (are you following?)

The game wears a familliar resembelance to Commander Keen in such manners as that: You start by walking around a map filled with levels that you can tackle in any order (well there only is ONE) the game itself is really a treat to play. Knocking out the enemies has a really satisfying feel to it and there´s even a Commander Keen like bridge. The enemies are really quite stupid walking just back and forth, but for some strange reason it works faboulosly!.

There are loads of diffrent power ups and other items and this just adds to the overall proffesional feel of Defender Sira, gret game sprite!

Graphics: 9,0

Sound: 9,0 fits right in!

Music: 8,5 fits well enough in the game but really bugs me after a while

Gameplay 9,0 slick fast and fun, even though it could be a bit more challenging

Overall: 9,0 Great game go get it!

Dark Power 2 : Black Magic

Once again Brian Su decides to knock us all out with one of his games and make us se REALLY well drawn stars for a while.

Dark Power 2 is one of the coolest games I´ve seen in a while. With graphics that are just unworldly and great gameplay this winds up in the platformer elite. A few minutes after starting this up I was desperatley firing ice shards at rotting corpses that just wouldn´t stay dead, as a matter of fact I was so busy firing at the ever increasing horde of undead and racing for the exit that I got struck in the back by a Gargoyle. I had full health at the time of this incident so I didn´t think much of it and turned to face the new threat (the gargoyle!) just to be massacerd by the really foul smelling ghouls.....

Not to mention the knife throwers, or the really murderos pigs, or the huge end of level bosses......

Graphics: 9,9 only principle keeps this below 10

Sound: 9,0

Music: 8.0

Gameplay 8,0

Overall: 8,5 great job Brian, this is below 9 just because you made the game too hard, it´s frustrating to have to restart a level beacause one of those farking knife throwers get half your health in one hit, other than that keep up the good work.
