Panamá is a beautiful green country, sometimes a little bit too hot, but with great beaches to cool down at! The people are very friendly, and I enjoyed my childhood.
At the sweet age of sixteen I moved to Sweden to finish high school in the country of my ancestors... :-) Which I did. After a couple of years of ignoring the call of Science I started studying again at the University of Stockholm. I ended up studying very diverse subjects:
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is a beautiful city. Surrounded by glittering water, it is often called the Venice of the North! The city's earliest beginnings date back to the early Thirteenth Century when a strategically placed group of islands separating Lake Mälaren from the Baltic Sea became a reloading center for commercial products. Charming Gamla Stan, the Old Town, with its 17th Century buildings, is built on the island Stadsholmen, but nowadays no one calls it anything but Gamla Stan. Here lies the Royal Castle, inaugurated 1754. It replaced the old castle Tre Kronor which had burned down in 1697.
Within the limits of modern day Stockholm, the oldest building is the enchanting Bromma Church (in my own neighborhood). Dating back to the 12th Century, it also served as defence and haven of refuge.
If you are travelling nearby, don't miss visiting Stockholm!
