Abstract
Information technology - IT - is today considered and portrayed to be one
of the most important driving force for development and changes of the
society in the industrial word. Especially this is true in the development
and rapid changes that occur in the education sector. The Internet constitutes
an extensive and resourceful tool, which could serve as an instrument when
it comes to teaching mathematics. While as a teaching tool it can also
be very time-consuming and hard to get started with and get used to.
This essay gives a short description of the potentialities as well as
of the difficulties of using Internet as a tool in teaching secondary mathematics.
The essay also presents a structured list of links to Internet sites that
hopefully can be a good help in getting started.
