What is PHX,well when George Lucas sat down with two others discussing the THX all they talked about was the sound, how it would feel like sitting at the cinema and become"one"with the movie.But George also had another sound,more powerful and breathtaking expeirience PHX.But he did not tell them that at that time,as the matter of fact almost no one knows that the PHX existed.....did you??

....Well anyway, when the THX became such a sucsess he became a bit afraid that if he should change the sound now the audience would"leave"so when the new realese of the Star Wars and Men In Black he choose to use the THX symbol but with PHX sound,this way he was sure that the audience was not letting him down and all cinemas got the PHX certificate. When a movie comes to the cinema it stands if there is a THX or PHX movie,and the cinema simply switch from THX til PHX or reverse.
